Mari Mahr created a series called 'Between ourselves'. The series is to document her journeys while she traveled. Most of her photos are very abstract looking as she makes smaller objects and body parts look a lot bigger than every day much larger objects.
This photograph is taken by Mari Mahr for part of her series 'Between ourselves'. The reason why I chose this photo to analyse is because its very abstract and unique looking. The part of this photo I find the most unusual is the cutlery in front of the staircase as its very different from other photos and creates an abstract effect to the image as in her photos she makes smaller objects look much bigger. Another reason why I find this image very interesting is because within this image there are loads of different shapes and textures such as curves, lines, circles and points.
My photos...
Here are my pictures I took on my holiday journey. Whilst I was taking these photos I always tried to take them from different angles and have a very different subject matter in all my images to have a variety within my photography. Our aim for this task was to photograph movement, cropped images, splashes of colour, something unusual, close-ups and unusual angles. I tried to do this by photographing moving objects such as trains and fast flowing waters. When I was given this task I thought is was going to be quite easy, however when i started this project i found it much harder as you had to take a wide variety of different images. If i was to do this task again i would try not to focus so much on the images but take a lot of different photos.
